Spring Insight's very own Technical Program Manager Laura Mayer was recently the featured guest at what's called a "Fireside Chat" to a group of graduating computer science and cyber science majors at The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. 🙌 Dr. Edward Sobiesk, Professor of Computer and Cyber Science, hosts these "chats," bringing in special speakers for the class CS400 Professional Considerations in Computing. Laura fielded questions on a variety of topics ranging from A11Y/WCAG Website Accessibility Compliance, low-code/no-code environments and use cases, to the importance of technical project management to understand and coordinate the different parts and team members of a technical project. After that, the floor was opened to Q&A and the cadets asked some really great questions on topics such as how to create meaningful workflows and how to remain authentic when cultivating a social media presence. And at the end of it all, Laura was presented with an EECS coin, which military entities give out as a 'kudos' for jobs well-done! We are so excited that Laura had this opportunity to share her wealth of expertise with up and coming tech professionals and are so proud to have her as a member of our team at Spring Insight!
