Came here for the first time for a group social and we were outdoors.

What's Hot
- Quality. Their food is pretty tasty. I really enjoyed their mini vegan black bean burgers, which are on a mini pretzel bun. Their mini black bean burgers are well-seasoned and served with a small slice of tomato and veggie slaw. Their chicken wings are pretty good and not overly sauced, as well. All the food that we had was tasty and not too salty.
- Menu options. They have a pretty good variety of options, including vegan, which is definitely very helpful.

What's Not
- Service. They don't appear very well-coordinated. Most times, when people from our party put in an order of drinks, the wait staff who came with the drink had absolutely no idea whose drink it was. Because we were a group with a preordered spread of food, their staff put out stacks of plates and napkins. However, there were no utensils, which wasn't helpful. Furthermore, there were several times when people in our group wondered whether their staff were going to clear our plates when we were finished. My husband actually took a bunch of plates and looked for someone to give them to or somewhere to put them. The whole time we were there, which was over 2 hours, there was only 1 wait staff who came by to take our plates. Additionally, as our group was dispersing, I noticed there was leftover food. No one from their staff put out takeaway containers for us to take any leftovers. I had to specifically ask for them. What a waste for the restaurant to leave perfectly good food sitting around, which they more than likely would've thrown away.
- Parking. There is parking nearby, but it's not the easiest to find. Additionally, be prepared to pay for parking at a nearby garage and walk.
- Bug bites. To be fair, this is not something the restaurant has control over. I'm putting this out there for people to be aware that you can definitely get bitten if you're at their outdoor seating area.

What a great brewery in silver spring! I have been drinking their beers for a while but it was my first time coming to their tap room. What I wasn't expecting was how great the food was! I had the black bean burger and it was really well spiced (I have had many a sad black bean burger in the past!). My partner had the smash burger and while it was good; he wanted more of the special sauce. The servers were also really nice and attentive all night. Overall great experience, especially since so many patrons brought their cute dogs.

Had my good friend's bridal shower here. Denizens was great to work with (thank you Emily) and we got the event catered from all set restaurant and bar (thank you Bill). The food was delicious and a hit with everyone. They even were able to customize a sandwich for us based on preferences. The service was also great (our bartender, Morgan, was great and so friendly). The space was very nice and allowed us to customize the event to how we wanted it. And of course the drinks are always great (I personally love their own hard seltzers).

Sad to see this place go. Great beer, friendly staff and atmosphere. You'll be missed!

Denizens is a very chill pub in Silver Spring. They have a large selection of drinks and yummy appetizers to pair with it.

I especially like their outdoor seating options and relaxed atmosphere...would definitely recommend going on a weekend afternoon.

Awesome brews, good food, good vibes. Parking situation isn't great but totally worth the tiny inconvenience for some delicious suds. Folks working there seemed to be enjoying themselves. I was shocked at how few people were there on a beautiful Saturday in the end of March. Burger was delicious I started in on it before taking a photo. Onion Rings were the right call as my buddy's fries seemed a little underdone. Definitely will be coming back again.

The nachos with Carolina bbq and the pretzel with beer cheese was delicious! Great beer and a chill atmosphere! Service was great!

Wonderful beers! Great and helpful staff. Great outdoor seating area too. We got flights to try the different types of beer.

Love Denizens to spend an afternoon or evening drinking local craft beer. They recently updated their menu and it's fantastic. We tried the chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, fries, and the chicken salad sandwich with a side salad - all wonderful! I have enjoyed that during the summer, they put up a large tent to keep the tables shady and cool. I'm not sure if it started only during the pandemic, but once seated outside, you head to the bar to order beers and food, and then it comes to your table. A minor complaint - I love to spend a few hours here every time I come and usually have been seated at the tall tables which aren't the most comfortable. The best seats are at the large couch style areas, but you'll only get seated there with a large group. Denizen's is definitely worth a visit if you're in Silver Spring!

We came to Denizen to hang out and enjoy some good beer. Everyone enjoyed their flight, and we also got some food to share. There was plenty of seating outside, and parking was available nearby too.
